In a surprise addition to the festival now to genres, Lime Cordiale will perform at Savannah in the Round in October.
Scheduled to open the three-day event in Mareeba, the duo’s unique indie-pop sound joins Aussie greats like Shannon Noll, Casey Barnes and Busby Marou.
Tropic now chatted with Oli Leimbach about the upcoming He and His Brother show (and upcoming undisclosed EP), their soft spot for Far North Queensland, and where to find the best pies in the area.
While Lime Cordiale may be one of the last names you’d expect to see on the 40-member country music festival lineup, Oli said he and Louis seized the opportunity.

âPerforming at a festival like this is something that we got the hang of,â Oli said.
âBeing introduced to this whole other scene that we don’t really know is awesome.
âCountry music is huge in the United States, and Australia too, and a lot of artists have such great voices – I don’t know what it is.
âWe’re pretty excited to see some of the local bands and Shannon Noll of course. He must be a legend in his own right.
Since Lime Cordiale’s last appearance in Cairns at Edge Hill Tavern in late 2019, the band have released their second album, 14 steps to improve yourself – a relaxed but thoughtful version of a self-help guide to the Australian Millennium.
