RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The list of the 100 richest agro-industrial municipalities in Brazil has been published by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa). The ranking was based on Municipal Agricultural Production (PAM) data for 2020, collected by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), and published in October 2020.
Based on this information, a classification was made taking into account the value of the production of temporary and permanent crops and the gross domestic product of the municipalities (GDP) on the basis of 2019.
