Over the next 24 hours, it will move in a west-northwest direction at a speed of 10-15 km/h and enter China’s Guangdong province before weakening again into a low-pressure area.

Under the influence of tropical depressionthe northern part of the northern East Sea area will experience strong winds and rough seas, while heavy rain and strong winds are likely to occur in coastal areas from the south-central province of Binh Dinh to the southernmost province of Ca Mau on August 4 afternoon and evening.

Hydro-meteorological experts have warned of a complicated weather development with 10 to 12 tropical storms and depressions expected to hit the country between June and the end of the year.

According to Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Director of NCHMF, four to six
storms are likely to directly affect inland areas, much as in previous years.

During the rainy season from July to September, rainfall in the northern region is likely to be at or above average.
