VIDEO: The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office wants you to know that sharks live in water | Tampa Bay News | Tampa


Right now, right now, sharks are swimming in the water, and some of them are near the shores of Tampa Bay.

To make sure you know the sharks are in fact sharing the same body of water you occasionally use, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) recently shared aerial video showing a thrill of sharks living their lives near ‘Anclote Sandbar and Anclote Island, just north of Tampa.

“A day in the water is a fun way to beat our Florida heat, but it’s important to be aware of the dangers underwater as well as above,” PSCO said in a statement. Facebook Publish. “This National Water Safety Month, familiarize yourself with the water safety tips below before you get in the water.”

PSCO has not identified what type of sharks it is, or whether the video was shot near swimmers elsewhere. But while the video is certainly cool, it’s more important to note that shark attacks just don’t happen that often.

Last year Florida swimmers reported 28 shark biteswhich was most in the US, but still far from anything Florida residents should worry about.
